OUR

PRODUCTION

PROCESS

Every piece we create has a story that starts long before it reaches our hands. Deep in the remote villages of East Java, century-old teak houses quietly hold the stories of generations. It is from these homes that we carefully reclaim our teak wood, sourced from mature trees over sixty years old, each beam carrying the beauty of age and the marks of time.

Once collected, the reclaimed wood begins its transformation. Arriving in our workshop in all shapes and conditions, often with original paint, nails, and memories still intact, each plank is hand-sorted, cleaned, and reworked by our skilled craftsmen. With patience and precision, they sand, shape, and refine the wood, revealing the unique textures and warm tones hidden within. No two pieces are ever alike; every surface tells its own story of nature, time, and human touch.

"At dBodhi, we take pride in doing everything in-house, from design and production to finishing and packaging."

At dBodhi, we take pride in doing everything in-house, from design and production to finishing and packaging. This ensures that every step reflects our values of quality, sustainability, and authenticity. A typical production cycle takes around four to six weeks, after which our furniture begins its journey to homes around the world.

Beyond reclaimed teak, our collections combine a rich variety of natural materials, including canal and clear glass, coco weaving, abaca, rattan, and reclaimed wood used for intricate detailing.
