rattan
Sustainably harvested from natural forests in Indonesia, our certified high-quality rattan is known for its strength and durability. While rattan grows and can be harvested more quickly than timber, its processing remains highly labor-intensive. After harvesting, each cane is carefully dried, cleaned, and stripped of its outer husk and thorns. The rattan is then cut to size and finished using eco-friendly treatments.

Our skilled artisans hand-weave every piece of rattan using a variety of techniques, depending on the desired pattern. To enhance longevity and hygiene, an anti-bacterial treatment is applied through a kiln-drying process, ensuring a stronger and longer-lasting material.
Our rattan is available in four distinct colors: Charcoal, Natural, Kulit, and Brown. Charcoal and Natural are made from thinner strips, allowing for a more efficient process as they are spray-finished in color after weaving. Kulit and Brown offer a more organic aesthetic. For these, we preserve the outer skin of the rattan, allowing for a rich variation of natural brown tones. This layered character is maintained through a transparent or brown-tinted finish. Each piece is carefully sorted, cleaned, and selected to highlight the material’s natural beauty.
